Tyler Hart is a computer professional and network engineer, involved in the IT community and trade for almost a decade. A journeyman electronics technician, fiber optics technician, technical trainer, and computer networking professional, his skills touch on many parts of the IT sector. Recently he has been developing Python and PHP applications, delving into SQL databases and exploring the web application ecosystem. He is an open source advocate and Linux devotee, specializing in CentOS and Ubuntu distributions as well as LAMP servers.

Through the years he has earned numerous IT certifications from CompTIA, Microsoft, and Cisco. Active certifications include A+, Network+, Security+, MCSA, MCT, and CCNA. He has experience in virtualization, using VMware, Xen, and Virtualbox suites to keep pace with evolving infrastructure design.

He served in the military for eight years in electronics and IT fields, working in radar, communications, navigation, networking, and security before accepting an Honorable Discharge and entering the civilian IT sector. He continues to work and train in the IT field, writing articles and training materials.
